Girls Golf 2025 Season Recap

The Olentangy Orange girls golf team had a great season with a state ranking of 3rd overall, they were undefeated in all 4 OCC tournaments they played. The top player on the team was freshman Amelia Buettner. She’s ranked 15th in the state and first on the team. She averaged a score of 36.17 and shot a PR of 32 at the Panther Invitational in August. Another key player for the girls was senior Adeline Ricker. She’s ranked 38th in the state and 2nd on the team. Ricker averaged a score of 38.31.
The girls started out their season in early August at the Big Walnut invitational with 17 wins, the next day they teed off at Brunswick for a 2 day tournament going 18-1 the first day and 16-0 the second. Then the girls headed to their first OCC tournament of the season on August 7th at Echo Springs and went 5-0. The rest of that week they had both the Panther and the Hudson Invitational with only one loss at each. On August 13th the girls teed off at their second OCC going 17-0 the first day and 5-0 the second day at Raymond Memorial. Just 4 days later they had the third OCC at Oakhaven and went 5-0. The next week they had the Walsh Jesuit invitational and Greyhawk invitational going 15-2 at both. Then, on September 2 they had the Brunswick Co-ed Invitational at Pine Hills going 6-3 with a total team score of 330. At the Olentangy Invitational they went 16-1 and tied for second. On September 9th the girls played one of their most notable matches during the 4th OCC tournament at Blacklick Woods. The team placed first, with all of the girls placing top 10 individually. The next week they had both the Liberty invitational going 9-1 and the Celtic Invitational going 11-3. Following that week, the girls held the Olentangy Orange Invitational at Echo Springs 14-3. Then the girls headed back to Echo Springs for the New Albany Co-ed going 6-0. The girls last regular season match was the Marysville Invite at Darby Creek.
In the post season, the girls competed at Sectionals going 13-0 on the day. This progressed them to Districts. Unfortunately, the team ended their season at districts but they had an amazing record season with a total of 261 wins.
