Field Hockey had a great season for their 25’ season! They had a record of 11-8-1. To start off the field hockey season in August, the girls lost to Dublin Coffman 5-0. To begin September, they beat Lancaster 3-0 and the next day traveled to beat Maumee Valley 1-0. On the 8th, they beat Granville 4-0 at home. Thomas Worthington was a tough opponent this season, with them being ranked #7 nationally. The girls lost to Thomas 0-9 on the 11th at home. On the 15th, the girls played Upper Arlington and had another big loss with a score of 0-8. For another couple wins, Orange beat Hillard Lynx at home 3-0 and beat Bishop Hartly at home 2-1 in a close game. They played Worthington Kilbourne at home and had a super close game, just losing with a score of 1-2. Another couple of wins were against Bexley at home and Dublin Jerome away. They beat Bexley 2-1 and Jerome 3-1. To start October, the girls played Liberty on the 1st and lost 1-8. On the 6th, it was Senior night against Berlin and they had their one and only tie of the year with a score of 2-2. And to end their regular season games, the girls won huge against Scioto with a score of 6-0 and beat Laurel 5-0. To begin the girls tournament games, they played Berlin again and revenged themselves with a score of 2-0 to finally declaw the paw. And then to end their season, they played Thomas Worthington again in the second tournament game and got beat 0-8 at Thomas.
Senior Layla Meecha had 10 goals to lead the pioneers this season. Following up, Junior Ava Hanna had 8 goals and Freshman Maggie Gardner had 7. Ava Hanna is tied with Megan Schrader who graduated last year for most goals scored in a game, with 4.
