Girls tennis had a great season this year with juniors Aaria Gala and Zoe Haar making it to states. Their first game was against Columbus Academy on August 25th. They lost 1-4 but followed it up on the 27th with a 4-1 win against Olentangy. In September, the girls went against Liberty and won 3-2. They had a couple losses in a row including a close 2-3 loss against Worthington Christian where they won set 1 and four. They lost against Hillard Davidson 1-4 and then lost against Watkins memorial and Hillard Davidson, both 2-3. On the 16th, they played Upper Arlington and lost 0-5 for a hard loss. They came back two days later to destroy Hillard Bradley in all five sets. Unfortunately, the girls lost to Liberty 1-4 at home. On the 22nd, the match against Jerome was cancelled and their match against New Albany was also canceled. On senior night, they celebrated seniors Naviya Kamalakannan and Kasalara Anvita. They played Westerville Central and won 3-2. On the 27th, they played in a doubles tournament against Upper Arlington and played 3rd as a team. In October, Juniors Zoe Haar and Aaria Gala qualified for districts at sectionals. On the 8th, they competed at districts and had an amazing second match that qualified them for states! States was on the 16th-17th in Mason, Cincinnati. Aaria Gala and Zoe Haar dropped a 6-1, 6-1 match to Cincinnati Sycamore to finish their state tournament trip and their season.
