On Friday night, the boys delivered a great performance at Crew Stadium in the regional finals against Pickerington Central. Quarterback Levi Davis set the tone early with the game’s first touchdown in the second quarter. Pickerington’s only highlight came on a sack against Levi Davis that resulted in their lone score of the night. At the end of the first half, Levi Davis passed to Senior MC Walker to run the ball for a TD, giving the Neers a comfortable lead against Pickerington. Then, sophomore Colby Luling exploded for a 70-yard interception just before halftime. Davis opened the third quarter with another rushing TD, making the score 20-7 before the extra point. Senior Luke Reidelbach added to the tally with a smooth touchdown grab in the end zone, followed shortly after by a powerful run from senior Lucas Fickel to close out the third quarter. But Fickel wasn’t done yet, he pushed for his third touchdown of the night in the fourth quarter, sealing a huge 39–7 victory and sending the boys on to the State Semi-Finals next Friday.
